Personality:
Rin has an average personality, in which she is mostly a nice person who for the most part would do whatever it takes to protect those she cares for since she arrived to New Fair City. She can be very competitive at times, and doesn't like to refuse a challenge. With her past behind her, Rin tries her best every day to become a good person, who wouldn't hurt others for no reason at all like she used to do in Lapland. Sometimes she can be a bit sarcastic, but not to the extent that she would argue with someone for a stupid reason. If someone proves her wrong she accepts it. But if she proves others wrong, then she's satisfied that she didn't use her powers on them like she used to.

History:
Rin, best known as the Snow Queen by mortals, is a witch by birth whom has the ability to create and manipulate ice. Since a child she has had her heart as cold as ice, in part due to the splinters from the devil's mirror and how humans treated her when they found out about her powers. Fed up with how others hated her just because she was different, Rin decided to leave the town where she was born and ventured off to find a new home for herself. Along her journey she found these wonderful snow mountain landscapes in Lapland, and decided to create her new home there. Therefore she now lived inside an ice castle. Due to the mirror's splinters and how humans treated her, Rin hated humanity making her to cause harm on them. Whenever an explorer or misfortune soul crossed her territory, Rin would lure them into her castle to later on turn them into her slaves. If she found that she had no more use to them, then she would turn her slaves into ice statues. Rin also created the snow bees, snowflakes that look like bees and guard her home both when she's there and when she isn't.

One winter day Rin is riding her white sleigh when she sees a young boy by the name of Kai looking through his window, and she is automatically curious about him wanting him to be near her. She tries to lure him to her, but fails and Kai gets away from his window quickly. Frustrated Rin decides that he's not worth her efforts and goes home. However during the following winter season, Rin sees Kai once again but this time he's playing with his sleigh in the town's market square. This time she was smart and disguised herself as a young woman inside her white sleigh carriage, and succeeds at luring Kai to her. He gets in her carriage and Rin rides outside town. Once there was a bit of a distance between them and the town, Rin reveals her true self to Kai. Automatically he's petrified. She decides to kiss him twice. The first to anesthetize him from the cold, and the second to forget about those in his life including his grandmother and best friend Gerda. At this point in his life his heart was already affected by the splinters from the devil's mirror, making it much easier for Rin to only have him focus on her beauty. She takes him to her ice castle and tricks him. Rin tells Kai that if he can spell the word "eternity" on her frozen lake, which she calls the "Mirror of Reason" that's located underneath her throne, she will release him and give him a lovely pair of ice skates.

Knowing that it would be impossible for him to do so, Rin was confident that he would always be by her side even if he gets completely frozen from the bitter cold so she often left him alone in the castle. Weeks after she captured Kai, who still hasn't been able to spell the word eternity, Gerda managed to find Rin's ice castle. With the lord's prayer, Gerda's breath turns into angels and fight off the snowflakes giving her an opening to enter the castle. There she saw Kai helplessly and almost frozen to death as he laid by the lake trying to accomplish the task given to him so that he can obtain the ice skates. Rin was nowhere to be seen. Gerda rushes to him and gives him a kiss with all the love she had for him, causing him to be saved. And while she was crying of joy, her tears fell on Kai which melted his frozen heart. This made Kai cry as well, resulting in having the splinters from the mirror to vanish. All of a sudden the splinters of ice that Kai was using to try to spell out the word eternity were entangled in the children's dance. Once both Gerda and Kai were too tired to continue dancing the ice splinters fell on the lake, and they spelled out the word "eternity." Being that he completed his task both fled the castle, and returned home with the help of Gerda's friends. Kai didn't even care anymore about the ice skates.

When Rin returned home she was outraged that Kai managed to complete his task. The snowflakes told her what had happened, and this got her so angry that she destroyed everything that was near her including the castle. After she let out her anger, Rin kneeled to the ground and began to cry uncontrollably. She kept thinking what was it that she did so wrong that nobody wants to be with her, much less even consider her to be a special friend like Gerda is to Kai. That's when the sorceress that tried to imprison Gerda appeared before Rin. Rin automatically got on her guard, to be on the safe side, but the sorceress told her that she wasn't there to harm her. Instead she was there to help her become a better person. Rin was confused wondering why this powerful sorceress who at one point was her enemy would want to help her out. She asked her this and the sorceress replied that after Gerda escaped from her, she felt so lonely that she wanted to end her life. But then realized that the reason she was lonely in the first place was because she was so cruel to others, and forced them to be with her unwillingly. The same thing that Rin was doing to others. So she offered Rin as her first gesture of kindness, to send her to another dimension so she can start a new life and learn how to be a good person. A person that wouldn't harm others, and that would think about other's well being and happiness first and then about herself.

At first Rin was reluctant to accept this offer, but then decided to do so and the sorceress sent her to New Fair City after getting rid of the splinters from the devil's mirror that were still inside Rin's eyes. There she met many people including the Crystal couple, whom already had both an adoptive daughter and son, and after the couple found out that Rin was all alone in their world and about her powers they took her right in and adopted her as their daughter. This was the first time that anyone in Rin's life showed any kindness to her and that they actually cared about her well being. So from that moment on, Rin vowed to never be evil again and to show both John and Mai that their kindness would not be for nothing. By doing so Rin has never used her power for evil deeds again. Once she heard about the tournament at New Fair City, Rin thought of this as a great opportunity to use her powers as an useful tool for her adoptive parents. She would like to obtain the winning prize for them, as a "thank you" gift for trusting in her and not caring about her powers even though she told them about her past. She does not want to let them down, so Rin will do all her best to win the prize which is a wish. It can be any wish that she wants, so what Rin will wish for is to give both Mai and John their longest dream of having a child of her own. Mai can't bear any children due to an accident that she had as a teenager, which is the reason why both John and her decided to become adoptive parents instead. With this wish their dream will finally come true, and hopefully Rin will be able to fulfill it. So during the day she's a high school student, and by night she's an entrant at the tournament going by her former name: The Snow Queen. But this time she's using her name for a good cause, and no one fears it like in her past.

Holographic Fairy Wings- gives her the ability to move faster than her opponent

Holographic Helmet- gives her the ability to see at a much farther distance and calculate at a better distance when in need to attack her opponent.
